Pearly blue

A fancy pearl
in a crushed shell
glides through life
with no one to tell
how crust shattered
feelings battered
it all feels but well

Colors reflect from
cracks of the shell
if only someone
might see
might feel
and bring what¨s needed
to heal
to peel away the crust
bust open the hide
release the lust for light

A fancy pearl
bust out from its cover
draws attention
causes incredible tension
between those who yearn
to wear it...away
tight around the neck
accessorized

All is but well they say.
Life outside the shell
is nevertheless far from
being ah so swell
but dream on
young bright pearl
life has thus
much more to tell
about how it hardly is
